7 Months

You are seven months old now.

- You wear size 3 diapers.
- Wear 6-9 month clothes.
- Sleep from about 8:00 or 8:15 to 6:30 or 7:00, most nights. You are now on Daddy’s clock and think it’s ok to get up a 6:00 on weekends even though Daddy is still asleep at that time on those days. You sit and talk in your bed so Mommy can stay in bed for a little longer.
- Eat all kinds of baby food. I’ve only found two things that you’re not crazy about – peas and mac and cheese. We have not tried meat yet and I’m afraid to because it looks nasty.
- Want fewer and fewer bottles. And you have no desire to hold your own bottle. NO.DESIRE.AT.ALL.
- Love to eat Puffs, Cheerios, Fruit Loops, and Trix like a big boy. I think Allie gets more of this food though since most of it ends up in your lap.
- You reach for people now. If there is somebody you want to hold you, you will reach your little arms out.
- You are crawling all over the place and crawling up things. I think we are going to have a climber before long.
- You pull up to a standing position and hold it for a while. You like the lego table at Ms. Laura’s and the little Elmo table at home. You pretty much like anything that you can pull up to and stand – this includes, your crib, the couch, the ottoman, me, the bouncer, and on and on. All you want to do is stand. Sometimes you get brave enough and let go of what you’re holding onto and that scares Mommy.
- You love it when we sing to you. Sometimes you will sing back and it is the cutest thing. I first noticed this when Ganny was here visiting this past weekend. Your singing is more of a loud hmmmm…like you want to drown us out!
- Your favorite thing to say is still “Dada.” Sometimes you phrase it like it’s a question. “Dada??” And everyone and everything is known as “Dada.” You rarely say anything else, but you look at people and say that to them.
- Love to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Handy Manny. You love the Hot Dog song on MMCH.
- For some reason you like to watch football games too.  I caught you watching college football this weekend with Daddy. Pictures of this will be coming soon.

We can’t believe you are already seven months old. You are the love of our lives! We never imagined that we could love you so much, and every day we love you more than the day before! You are growing so fast and every day you do something new. You have both Mommy and Daddy’s personalities. Sometimes you like to be high-maintenance like Momma and sometimes you are laid back, like Daddy. I secretly hope you have more of Daddy’s personality though, because Lord knows that there can’t be a mini-Momma running around! You are the greatest joy of our lives and we can’t wait to see what your future holds. We thank God every day for giving us such a beautiful baby!
