4 Months

Kross turned 4 months old on July 12. Here's what he's been up to:

•Currently weighs 14.4 lbs (50th percentile) and is 25 in. long.
•Wears size 2 diapers.
•Still wants to eat every 2-3 hrs, mostly 2 hrs. Eats about 5 oz each time.
•Eats cereal in his bottle at night. We occasionally feed him cereal out of a bowl, but he has to be in a really good mood to eat it because it takes some work. If he’s too hungry, there is no sense in even trying it because we can’t get it to his mouth fast enough!
•Still consistently sleeps for 9-10 hrs at night. This started about 8-9 weeks. We lay him down about 8:30 or 9:00 and he’s up at 6:30 or 7:00. We’ve laid him down later, but that doesn’t mean he will sleep any later.
•Is a drool monster! He just sits and spits it out. His clothes are wet all around the neckline. It’s pretty gross. I keep checking his gums for teeth that are coming.
•Loves to stand up if you hold him at his waist. He can also stand if you let him grab your fingers and he will lock his legs and pull himself up.
•Still loves his baths. He will immediately stop crying if he’s upset about anything if I put him in that warm water. He likes the water very warm! He does not care for me to wash his back or hair, but everything else he likes.
•Loves to belly-laugh at Daddy. For some reason, Mommy is just not that funny!
•Loves to be carried around in the Baby Bjorn. That has been a lifesaver!
•Likes to go to work with Daddy to see all the coaches and players. They look for him every morning in the weight room! I wish I could get a picture of this!
•Loves to watch his mobile and his Rainforest soother. He is fascinated with those things.
•Has just started to pay attention to Allie more. He watches her run around.
•He also watches the TV sometimes.
•Just found his feet and he loves to grab them.
•Loves to grab my hair too.
•Rolls from tummy to back. He has to want to do it though.
•Likes to sit propped up in the couch corner and just eat his hands. He is so content. Sometimes he holds his burp cloth too.
•Loves for you to sing to him. I mostly make up songs to sing.
•Likes his exersaucer now that he’s figured out he can push the buttons.
•Does not care for the swing. We have tried it just about every day and sometimes he screams the minute you put him in it.
•Is the happiest baby in the morning. He will lay there and jabber to himself for 30 minutes until you get up to get him. It is too cute!
•Oh and this is funny – he has really sweaty/clammy feet! They are constantly wet. He must get this from Daddy LOL!
•Some of his hair has started falling out, so he kinda has a receding hairline. It is a blondish-reddish color, so I guess a strawberry blonde. It started from a medium brown at birth and changed to a blonde…and now has a red tint to it.
